Kathy Penner

Calgary Board of Education
Mental Health Teacher
Kathy Penner has been teaching with the Calgary Board of Education for 15 years. She spent 6 years in a highly specialized Mental Health High School classroom and has recently returned to the classroom. She is currently teaching CALM and Social Sciences. Her emphasis has always been about doing what is best for the student through collaboratively working with classroom teachers, parents and outside agencies. Kathy is a certified trainer in both the Go To Educator program and the Teacher Curriculum Guide. She has presented on Adolescent Mental Health in both Canada and the United States, to parents, students, teachers and other health professionals.
