Karin is a teacher, an artist, and a counselling therapist. She is currently a Special Education Coordinator for the Pembina Hills School Division in Barrhead. She uses art in her therapeutic and teaching practice to encourage creativity, healing, and growth in children, families, and adults. For many years, Karin taught art courses for teachers throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan and has helped to create school wide art projects. She has also worked as an artist in residence. Karin is passionate about using the artistic process in all subject areas and fostering a growth mindset approach.
