In this session come hear Joe share his story of overcoming addiction and adversity through the positivity through skateboarding. Hear how his journey to become a professional skateboarder and actor allowed him to begin his healing from attending residential schools and the childhood trauma that came with it. He explains how his journey allowed him to live out his dream of turning pro on Colonialism Skateboards and enabled him to start his work with his non profit Nations Skate Youth. An organization that has a mission to empower indigenous youth to their right to self determination through the positive acts of skateboarding.
