Writer's notebooks are a place where students can record thoughts, questions, epiphanies, practice with mentor texts and so much more. This session with look at how to use notebooks to engage students and encourage risk taking. It will also provide direction as to how it can be a useful tool for summative assessment that can transform into a variety of polished pieces that can be used summatively. This session is for 7-12 teachers .
