Recent research shows that adolescent brain grey matter is shrinking as a result of poor sleep. In this session, we will look at a compelling argument at the importance of teaching our students about sleep. Cross-curriculuar approaches in humanities, and in science will be shared with attendees.

Kathy Penner has been teaching with the CBE for 16 years. She has an extensive background in working with students with special needs including a specialized program for students with severe mental health diagnoses. She is currently teaching social sciences and Construction 10.
