Tired of hearing yourself talk? Want your students to be engaged and passionate about what they are learning? Want your students to think critically and build research, writing and speaking skills? This session will walk you through how to bring debating into your classroom for beginners and experienced students! Activities include a video showing what great debating looks like, templates and guides for your students to help support them during the planning, research, writing and speaking phases of this process. Your students will be actively engaged in their learning and WANT to do this again and again! They will have opportunities to put themselves into current events and history and advocate regarding the situation that before they merely read about! Lots of humanities and science cross curricular opportunities! You will walk away with complete packages and resources.
