Eliot said April is the cruelest month. Good thing it's February. It's the perfect time to start a unit in poetry that will keep your class engaged and give you something to show off when Poetry Month rolls around. In this session, you'll see how students can develop powerful and personal poetry, then represent imagery and themes in their own virtual environments, or green screen videos, and then share on a class web page. And we'll have the poets themselves to show you how - students from my class! Bring your own device, phones and tablets if possible. Attendee's will need: Computer with internet access (log in to Google Chrome, we will be accessing the new Google Sites), smart device with the following apps: iMovie (other video editing apps are sufficient), Veescope or Doink (or other greenscreen apps), Youtube, Cospaces
