Are You Teaching Students to Remember: Instruction that intentionally teaches Recall & Retrieval Skills. In this highly interactive presentation participants will engage with and reflect on a series of tips and techniques for teaching students how to reason, remember and recall as they engage with content. We cannot assume they will just remember what they “learn.” We need to design our instruction with the specific intent to teach students how to engage with the content so that they will can remember, retrieve and apply it when needed. When teachers deliberately and intentionally spatialize their teaching, students build the skills for and gain the confidence and desire to learn for remembering. Teaching science, socials, mathematics, language arts. Examples will be linked to a variety of subjects, concepts and topics.
