For over 10 years students in Miss A's classroom have engaged in the 'Holocaust Project'. From poetry, to art, to personal journals students engage in the human story of one of the most memorable events in modern history.This session will focus on middle years ELA classrooms, and will provide practical ideas for engaging students in the ELA curriculum in all aspects including: reading, writing, listening, creating, and viewing. Time will be provided to explore online resources including: Re:Collection; Yad Vashem; and The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Educators will walk away with great ideas for Monday morning!
