The Covid-19 crises experienced over the year has called into question how we engage and interact with each other in our communities. But has the crises caused us to retreat from our global obligations, or has it renewed a sense of global citizenship and responsibility? In this facilitated discussion led by staff of the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation, teachers will discuss the 'teachable moment' we have in front of us global citizenship educators, and discuss strategies to motivate and guide students toward more, not less, action as global citizens. Case studies of Alberta organizations, who responded to the crises, will be provided as exemplars that can be used with students to model the positive way Albertans responded in this global crises.
